FAQs

How do I know if my child or I could benefit from therapy?

If you or your child are struggling with patterns of emotional or psychological distress that interfere with your daily life. If you frequently experience overwhelming feelings of sadness, anxiety, or hopelessness, or if you find it increasingly difficult to cope with stress, maintain relationships, or manage daily responsibilities, it might be time to consider therapy.

Additionally, if you are struggling with unresolved trauma, substance use issues, or significant life changes, or if you find yourself constantly feeling stuck or unable to move forward, seeking professional help can provide valuable support and insight. Therapy can also be beneficial if you're looking for personal growth or self-improvement, even in the absence of acute problems.

What should I expect at the first session?

  • Prior to your session we’ll ask you to complete intake paperwork - you’ll find consent forms, practice policies, and intake forms.

  • Your therapist will start by reviewing the paperwork you’ve completed and giving you time to ask any questions you may have.

  • They will also share information about themselves, their treatment approach and therapeutic process, and will explain expectations, boundaries, and confidentiality policies.

  • Your therapist will ask you to share why you’re seeking therapy at this time and some information about your symptoms and goals for therapy

Should my child come to the intake?

Although this varies provider to provider, in general we do not recommend bringing your kiddo to the intake appointment. Intakes are chockfull of paperwork and information gathering of which children and teens are not typically big fans. Additionally if your kiddo has any behavioral issues or trauma it can be very hard for them to hear their parents share the information we need to get at intake. We treat the second session, the first one the child will attend, as their intake session.

How do I find your office and where do I park?

Sprout to Bloom Wellness is located at 570 Colonial Park Drive, Suite 315, Roswell, GA 30075. Parking is free and there are usually a large number of available spaces. Our office is in the back of the building, so don’t park in front unless you’re looking for a casual stroll downhill in the parking lot! Look for the number 315 above the door and coming soon, we’ll have a sign that says Sprout to Bloom Wellness.

Do you accept insurance?

We know how important insurance coverage is in making therapy affordable and accessible. We are in network with several insurances - as we have just launched, some of our providers’ applications are still processing, so it varies from provider to provider and insurance to insurance at the moment. In a few months, we should be paneled with Aetna, Cigna, Optum, and Blue Cross Blue Shield. If you’re ready to get started but we aren’t in network with your insurance yet, we’re happy to make something work financially until we are able to accept your insurance!

When should I expect to hear back after submitting a new client inquiry?

We do our best to respond to all client inquiries within 24-48 hours. As a new practice, we are currently managing all aspects of our operations personally, including administrative tasks. While this means we may not have the extensive administrative support that larger practices might offer, it also allows us to provide personalized and dedicated attention to each of our clients. We appreciate your grace and understanding as we get started

We know you probably have lots of questions as you get ready to begin therapy - we included some of the most common questions we get here, but please feel free to reach out if you have questions we haven’t included!
